OVERVIEW

The RDHL – 100P contact resistance measurement kit is developed based on advanced high – frequency switching power supply and digital circuit technology. It is mainly used to accurately measure the loop resistance of various switch control equipment.

The tester is equipped with a large-screen LCD, which can present the test results clearly and intuitively and has diversified functions such as data storage, output printing, and time setting. Its resolution is as high as 0.01μΩ, and its performance is stable and reliable. It can fully meet the needs of power departments and power supply units for on-site maintenance and inspection of high-voltage switches. It is also suitable for professional loop resistance testing by high-voltage switch manufacturers.

In addition to switch control equipment, this contact resistance measurement kit can be used for high-precision measurement of high-and low-voltage switch contact (loop) and cable line DC resistance. The RDHL-100P loop resistance tester also performs excellently in other application scenarios requiring sizeable current output and micro-resistance measurement.

CHARACTERISTIC

  • 1. By using advanced power supply technology, the kit can continuously output large currents, overcome the shortcomings of the instantaneous current of traditional pulse power supply, ensure the effective breakdown of the switch contact oxide layer, and obtain reliable test results.

  • 2. In a strong interference environment, the last digit of the LCD display can remain stable within ±1 unit, ensuring stable test data and good repeatability.

  • 3. The kit adopts dual – channel high – speed 16 – bit Σ – Δ AD sampling and the latest digital signal processing technology. This enables a resolution of up to 0.01μΩ. It is the only contact resistance tester in China that can stably achieve this accuracy, and its performance exceeds that of many imported micro-ohm meters.

  • 4. The contact resistance measurement kit is equipped with an imported high-performance CPU. The system automatically switches the range according to the test signal to ensure test accuracy; the over-temperature protection function will automatically stop the current output when the instrument temperature is too high to ensure safe use.

  • 5. All key components are imported parts, and the temperature compensation circuit effectively reduces the impact of ambient temperature changes on the measurement results. Military-grade connectors are used to enhance vibration resistance.

  • 6. Two current options, 50A and 100A, are provided, and the test time range is adjustable from 5 seconds to 599 seconds. This solves the problems of similar instruments being unable to be set, the measurement time being too short, and the performance is better than comparable products.

  • 7. The rotating mouse makes data input more convenient. Users can independently set the instrument date and time and save and print the measurement results in real time.

  • 8. Through the USB interface, users can export the measurement data to a USB flash drive and use the host computer software for more detailed data analysis.

  • 9. The contact resistance measurement kit is compact, light, easy to carry, and suitable for on-site operation.

FAQ

Q: What is the use of a loop impedance tester?

A: Earth loop impedance testing, commonly known as loop testing, primarily aims to ensure that in the event of a fault in an electrical system, there’s adequate current flow to trigger the protective devices (like fuses or circuit breakers) within a specified time. This testing verifies the system’s ability to promptly disconnect the faulty circuit, enhancing safety and preventing potential hazards in electrical installations.

Q:  How do you measure earth loop impedance with a multimeter

A: To measure earth loop impedance with a multimeter:
1. Set the multimeter to the resistance – measurement mode.
2. Turn off power for safety.
3. Connect leads to earth and live conductors.
4. Record the displayed impedance reading.
5. Calculate impedance if needed.
6. Compare results to safety standards.
7. Repeat as necessary, emphasizing safety and compliance.

Q: Why do we measure earth fault loop impedance?

A: Measuring earth fault loop impedance is vital to validate the efficiency of protective measures in an electrical system. This test ensures that, during a fault, the protective devices promptly disconnect the faulty circuit by allowing sufficient current flow. By confirming proper impedance, it verifies that protective devices operate within the required time, averting risks such as overheating and electrical fires.
