Rui Du Mechanical and Electrical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd (Wrindu) recently signed a new cooperation agreement with Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP). This project marks an important step in our global development and strengthens our connection with major power utilities in East Africa.
EEP will use our equipment for the upgrade of Ethiopia’s national power grid and for maintenance work at the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The new tools help EEP solve long-standing challenges, including limited testing equipment and delays in grid maintenance.
This cooperation also allows Wrindu to bring reliable, high-quality products to top-level users and further grow our influence in the African power industry.


Strategic Importance
The project is a major milestone for Wrindu. We now work directly with a national power grid operator in East Africa. As we continue to expand overseas, we will keep providing trusted products, strong technical support, and long-term value to our international partners.
Scope of Cooperation
Wrindu will supply a full set of testing equipment for:

Transformers: turn ratio testing devices, winding resistance testers, and related tools

High-voltage switchgear: switch characteristic testers and loop (circuit) resistance testers

Instrument transformers: CT/PT analyzers and complete testing systems
We will also offer technical training and on-site support. This helps EEP teams use the equipment efficiently and ensures smooth and accurate maintenance work.
