MEE official announcement

Dubai, April 17, 2024 – The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has announced the regrettable cancellation of the Middle East Electricity (MEE) exhibition, which was scheduled to take place this week, due to extreme weather conditions. The organizers extend their apologies for this sudden situation and express gratitude to all exhibitors, visitors, and partners for their support and understanding.

According to the organizers, the Dubai region has experienced rare stormy weather over the past few days, severely affecting airports, roads, and public transportation facilities. After careful consideration to ensure the safety of exhibitors and visitors, the difficult decision was made to cancel the current MEE exhibition. The Dubai government and relevant departments are currently working tirelessly to manage the impact of this weather disaster and minimize its effect on residents and tourists.

The MEE exhibition is one of the most influential events in the Middle East for the power, lighting, and renewable energy sectors, attracting numerous exhibitors and visitors from around the globe each year. The event was set to showcase the latest power and lighting technologies and solutions, providing a platform for industry professionals to network and collaborate. However, due to unforeseeable weather conditions, the event had to be called off.

The organizers stated that they will maintain close communication with exhibitors, visitors, and partners to discuss subsequent arrangements. They also extend their apologies for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation and express gratitude for everyone’s support and understanding. The organizers further stated that they will monitor the weather situation closely and work to announce a new date for the exhibition as soon as possible.

Although the MEE exhibition could not proceed as planned, the organizers affirmed their continued commitment to driving the development of the power, lighting, and renewable energy sectors in the Middle East and providing more opportunities for industry exchange and collaboration. Once again, the organizers thank everyone for their attention and support of the MEE exhibition and look forward to presenting an even more spectacular industry event shortly.
