Rui Du Mechanical and Electrical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd (Wrindu) recently signed a new cooperation agreement with Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP). This project marks an important step in our global development and strengthens our connection with major power utilities in East Africa.
EEP will use our equipment for the upgrade of Ethiopia’s national power grid and for maintenance work at the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The new tools help EEP solve long-standing challenges, including limited testing equipment and delays in grid maintenance.
This cooperation also allows Wrindu to bring reliable, high-quality products to top-level users and further grow our influence in the African power industry.
About ETHIOPIAN ELECTRIC POWER (EEP)
Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) is the organization responsible for generating and transmitting electricity in Ethiopia. It ensures a steady and reliable power supply throughout the country. EEP was created to oversee large-scale energy projects, including hydropower, thermal, and renewable energy plants. One of its most significant projects is the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which is among the largest infrastructure initiatives in Africa.

Scope of Cooperation
Wrindu will supply a full set of testing equipment for:

Instrument transformers: CT/PT analyzers and complete testing systems
We will also offer technical training and on-site support. This helps EEP teams use the equipment efficiently and ensures smooth and accurate maintenance work.
